Healthcare just isn’t sexy. As much as those in the business hate to say it, the simple fact of the matter is it’s true.
It’s kind of like a humble pack of mince (bear with me here) - it’s not very attractive, and it’s often forgotten about, but in reality it’s used all the time and is a quintessential staple in a lot of people’s fridges.
Anyway, that’s where Kaye Dennison comes in. She’s not afraid of a challenge, and she’s here to shake things up a little (but she’s leaving the mince at home).
What Kaye is all about
Over the past decade, one of Kaye’s visions has been advocating for seniors who are at nutrition risk. Yes, the obesogenic environment that we constantly hear about is a huge issue (pun not intended), but we need to shift our focus, even for just a moment, to look at the nutritional health of our older people. They are our Mums and Dads, our Grans and Grandads after all.
And who are Optimize Health Solutions Ltd?
Kaye recently launched Optimize Health Solutions Ltd with a view to seeing through her vision, putting a bright spotlight on this area of dietetics and raising the awareness of adequate nutrition and sufficient exercise to support independence and re-enablement.
Her philosophy is that everyone has a part to play in enabling seniors to maintain their independence. They certainly aren’t kicking the bucket yet, and family/whaanau and members of the Primary Health and Social Services teams especially can help.
